Terms of service
These are the terms for buying from The Prepared Teacher. We've kept them short and in plain English, because you have enough to read.
What we sell
Digital products: PDFs, Notion templates, Canva template links, and spreadsheets. Nothing ships. Your download links arrive by email within a minute or two of checkout. If they don't, check spam, then email us and we'll resend them.
Your license — the important part
- One purchase = one teacher. Your license covers you and your own classroom(s), year after year. Print it, adapt it, edit it, reuse it every August — that's the point.
- Use with your students is included. Handouts, slides, and materials you make from our products for your own class are yours to use freely.
- Please don't redistribute. Don't re-share the files or template links, upload them to shared drives or resource marketplaces, resell them, or use them to build a competing product. Every copy shared that way makes it harder for this work to stay sustainable.
- Teams and schools: if colleagues want it, team and school licenses are available — email anthony@arawni.com and we'll invoice your school directly. Purchase orders welcome.
About the AI prompts
Our prompt products work with ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any AI assistant you already use. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any AI company. You bring your own AI account, and you remain the professional: review and edit anything an AI produces before it reaches students or families, and never paste student-identifying information into any AI tool.
Pricing and payment
Prices are in US dollars and shown before checkout; payment is processed securely by Shopify. Our discounts are real: when we show a "was" price, it's a price we genuinely charge, and when a launch window ends, the price actually changes. No countdown theatrics.
Refunds
Every purchase carries our 30-day promise: reply to your receipt email within 30 days for a full refund, no questions, and you keep the files. The full policy is at Refund policy.
Our content
The products, this site, and everything in them are copyright The Prepared Teacher. Buying a product gives you the license above; it doesn't transfer ownership.
Third-party tools
Some products use Canva or Notion (free accounts are all you need). Canva is a trademark of Canva Pty Ltd; Notion is a trademark of Notion Labs, Inc. Our products are independent and not affiliated with or endorsed by either. Their platforms are governed by their own terms.
The honest disclaimer
We make planning resources with care, but we can't guarantee specific outcomes in your classroom — teaching is too human for that. Products are provided "as is"; to the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and doesn't let us take away. If it ever feels like something went wrong, email us — the refund policy exists precisely so you're never stuck.
Housekeeping
We may update these terms as the store grows; the current version always lives at this page. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still stands.
